ACCI WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP & LEADERSHIP AWARD PRESENTED TO JULIA TSETIS

At a distinguished event dedicated to business excellence, innovation, and the strengthening of Greece’s productive economy, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) honored companies and business leaders whose achievements and contributions play a pivotal role in advancing the growth, competitiveness, and international presence of the Greek economy.

During the official ACCI Awards Ceremony, held at the Athens Concert Hall under the auspices of the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic, Julia Tsetis, President & CEO of the Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group, was presented with the Women’s Entrepreneurship & Leadership Award in recognition of her longstanding contribution to Greek industry through strategic vision, innovation, and leadership that creates value and fosters economic and social progress. The award was presented by Greece’s Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias.

In her acceptance speech, Julia Tsetis stated:

“Leadership today must combine vision, resilience, social responsibility, and a meaningful investment in people. I firmly believe that modern entrepreneurship should serve a broader purpose: creating growth with a positive social impact, fostering knowledge, investing in innovation, and creating opportunities for the next generation in our country. In a world changing at unprecedented speed, we have a responsibility to shape a new productive and social model built on greater inclusion, more opportunities, and stronger confidence in the capabilities of our people. This is the true leadership challenge of our time”.

Julia Tsetis dedicated this distinguished award to her mother, Sonia Papanikolaou Tseti, a pharmacist whose forward-thinking spirit, entrepreneurial instinct, and unwavering dedication served as a lifelong source of inspiration.

“Through her tireless example, she taught us from an early age that science, consistency, hard work, and quiet commitment to society can leave a meaningful and lasting impact on people’s lives”, she said emotionally.

Opening the ceremony, ACCI President Ioannis Bratakos highlighted the dynamism demonstrated by Greek entrepreneurship in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving international environment. He emphasized the need for a new national productive framework built on innovation, technology, skills development, and outward-looking growth. As he noted, the next major challenge is the transition to a new production model that generates higher added value and strengthens the competitiveness of the Greek economy.
