Three innovative products developed through InterMed’s research and development were distinguished at the international “Voted Product of the Year 2026” awards ceremony, held on April 6 at the Athens Concert Hall by Direction Business Network. The institution is one of the most significant consumer-voted innovation awards worldwide, originating in France and currently held in more than 40 countries, including Greece.

For 2026, the following products were awarded Product of the Year in the categories Anti-Ageing Range, Facial Sunscreen and Ophthalmic Solution:

1. Anti-Ageing Range: Bakuchiol Age Active | The Skin Pharmacist

The Bakuchiol Serum and Bakuchiol Face Cream by The Skin Pharmacist stand out for their innovative anti-ageing approach, featuring bakuchiol as the key active ingredient — the natural, gentle and effective alternative to retinol.

3. Ophthalmic Solution: OptoFresh Probio Relief

OptoFresh Probio Relief is the only ophthalmic solution with triple beneficial action for the eye: hydration, lubrication and restoration of the ocular microbiome.

With probiotics and probiotic phospholipids, it helps rebalance the ocular microbiome following infections (conjunctivitis, blepharitis, chalazion), as well as after eye surgery. It is preservative-free and suitable for contact lens users.

The “Voted Product of the Year” award highlights the long-standing commitment of companies to innovation. It is the largest consumer-voted distinction for product innovation, as winners are selected directly by consumers.

The selection is based on an independent consumer survey conducted by Circana, with the participation of 3,200 consumers from the Greek market.

Products are evaluated based on key criteria such as:
