TSETIS GROUP AT THE 2ND ARAB-HELLENIC HEALTH CONFERENCE
Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group actively contributed to the proceedings of the 2nd Arab-Hellenic Health Conference, held in Athens on June 10–11, 2026, bringing together senior government officials, business leaders, healthcare executives and investors from Greece and 16 Arab countries.
Organized by the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development, the conference highlighted opportunities for collaboration in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical technology, medical tourism, startups and emerging healthcare technologies. As several speakers emphasized, the pharmaceutical industry represents both a benchmark of technological expertise and a pillar of national resilience and security.
In her keynote address, Julia Tsetis, President and CEO of OFET, referred to the special significance of the conference, noting that she was among the initiators and driving forces behind the idea two years ago, with the vision of establishing a permanent platform that strengthens economic, commercial, scientific and research ties between Greece and the Arab world.
As she stated: "In today's highly competitive and globalized environment, the key that will unlock growth, stronger and longer-lasting business relationships, new pioneering fields of activity, enhanced competitiveness and resilience over time is creative synergy."
Julia Tsetis further stressed that "health, knowledge and innovation can become the new common language of cooperation between our peoples -a language that transcends borders, builds trust and creates lasting value for future generations."
Today, through UNI-PHARMA and InterMed, Tsetis Group exports products under its own brands to more than 70 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
The MENA region occupies a particularly important position in the Group's international growth strategy. Since 2014, OFET has steadily built a strong presence across the region, which now extends to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Palestine and Tunisia.
Also participating as a speaker was Athanasios Archondikis, Vice President of OFET, who highlighted the critical role of strategic partnerships between Greece and the Arab world in creating a stronger and more resilient healthcare ecosystem. In his intervention, he focused on three key pillars of cooperation: research and innovation, the development of shared pharmaceutical value chains, and the exchange of scientific knowledge and specialized talent.
During her presentation, "Innovation & Trends in Cosmetics," Vlassia Aroni, Senior R&D Formulation at Tsetis Group, outlined the major trends shaping the global dermocosmetics market, with particular emphasis on sustainability, science-driven innovation and the integration of responsible practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
The conference underscored the growing potential of Greek-Arab partnerships in healthcare and highlighted the importance of linking entrepreneurship, research and innovation to address today's healthcare challenges.
Among the distinguished attendees were Greek Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis, as well as the Ministers of Health of Syria, Musaab Nazzal Al-Ali, and Yemen, Qasem Buhaibeh.
